Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities
Veselková Francová, Markéta ; Kotas, Jan (advisor) ; Tichý, Radek (referee)
The aim of the thesis Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities is to map the current state of research about Jewish roots of Christian liturgy using the available literature as the basis and show on the specific example of two Catholic communities (Community of The Beatitudes and The Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew Speaking Catholics) how they experience these Jewish roots and how it manifests in their liturgical practice. The work is divided into two steps: In the first part, current knowledge about Jewish sources from which the Christian liturgy drew and draws is summarized. The most important elements, types and forms of Jewish prayers are described, and then it is described which parts of the Christian liturgy are based on which types and forms of prayers. In the second part, the history of the establishment of the Beatitudes Community and the Hebrew Parish is described and their liturgical practice is analyzed with a focus on their motivations for emphasis of the Jewish roots, the development of this practice and its specifics, and their relation to the original historical basis points. The conclusion represents a reflection on the more general benefit of the practice of these two communities and the benefit of knowledge...
Green architecture design and infrastructure in cities
Cacková, Anna ; Gottvaldová, Jana (referee) ; Remeš, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of green infrastructure and its importance in a city. The work presents ten selected problems and precautions that cities encounter in the process of planning and designing the greenery. The practical part evaluates the current state of the administration and maintenance of urban greenery in Björnson Park near the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno. The analysis of the current situati-on and the problem research showed that the analyzed area has certain deficiencies in the management and care of public greenery. We not only observe a lack of awareness of trees and their needs but also face insufficient knowledge of climate change, which causes cities to overheat. It is necessary to respond to these changes and use all pos-sible precautions that are available.
Rhizobiom pro zvýšení resilience polních plodin ke změně klimatu
Řezáč, Vlastislav
The bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of the plant root system and associated symbiotic microorganisms. The aim was to describe these relationships, present their advantages in agriculture and methods of their adoption. In the practical part, the root system was evaluated using WinRHIZO software. The material used was the grown root systems of Trifolium sp. plants at the age of 18 days. The basic parameters associated with the root system characteristics, i.e. total length, total surface, average diameter, total volume, number of tips, number of branches were determined. The number of formed nodules was also determined. As a secondary result, the macrophenological phase of the initiation of nodule for-mation was determined between BBCH 10 and BBCH 11.
Savci jako škůdci na ovocných dřevinách a v sadech
Benešová, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis deals with the negative impact of wild mammals on fruit trees and orchards. The main aim is to find out which mammal species are harmful to fruit trees and what types of damage they cause. Based on the literature, it is then possible to derive solutions to effectively protect against this damage. In addition, a questionnaire survey can also be used to address the problem. Damage to fruit trees is most common from rodents (Rodentia), even-toed ungulates (Artiodactyla) and hares (Lagomorpha). Several important factors influence the impact of these mammals on fruit trees. Rodents cause the most damage at times of peak abundance, so regular monitoring is needed. Currently, there is a growing interest in biological control of mammals, where no chemical products are used. However, due to its immediate result and ease of application, chemical control still prevails.
Vliv rozsahu kolonizace kořenového systému vějířovcem obrovským na stabilitu stromů
Cvach, Marek
This thesis investigates the effect of the extent of colonization of the root system of Meripilus giganteus on the stability of Fagus sylvatica. On the basis of pulling tests of infested trees from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Belgium and their accompanying photo-documentation, data were evaluated and used to establish relationships between the effects of different factors on the resistance of trees to uprooting. Graphs were produced for each of the dependencies, which were subsequently evaluated and commented on verbally. For example, a high dependence of the resistance to uprooting was found for the proportion of trunk diameter and the angle of colonisation of M. giganteus around the tree, and for the different effects of each parameter.
Development of the concept of liminality in selected works of Salman Rushdie
Švejdík, Jan ; Chalupský, Petr (advisor) ; Ženíšek, Jakub (referee)
The core of this thesis is capturing the concept of liminality in the past works of Salman Rushdie, specifically in novels The Satanic Verses, The Ground Beneath Her Feet and Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights. Selected characters and motifs of these novels reflect autobiographical elements, thus the aim of the thesis is to describe the transformation of the concept of liminality in chronological progression, where these novels represent three periods in which the author's perception of home and migration differ substantially from one another. The phenomenon of liminality is described within the frame of postcolonial literary theory and attention is therefore paid to the notion of "other" in relation to home and its cultural specificities, as well as in relation to the migrant's new homeland. The analysis of these works and their abstraction into three representative periods form a frame of reference for comparison with possible future works of the author.

The mycobiomes of vegetative organs of the dominant Mediterranean seagrass Posidonia oceanica (Posidoniaceae, Alismatales)
Soperová, Beáta ; Vohník, Martin (advisor) ; Kohout, Petr (referee)
Posidonia oceanica is a dominant seagrass of the Mediterranean Sea and its mycobiome has been increasingly studied, especially in recent years. Dozens of fungi associated with roots, rhizomes or leaves have been already described, but studies on the mycobiome of leaf sheaths are completely absent. One of the root-associated mycobionts is Posidoniomyces atricolor, which has not yet been isolated from any other organ. This thesis attempted to describe the mycobiome of vegetative organs of P. oceanica using two different methodological approaches - microscopic observation and molecular analyses. Microscopic observation confirmed the presence of fungal colonization in all vegetative organs except leaves. The conclusions from the microscopic part were subsequently verified by isolating and identifying several different endomycobionts, including P. atricolor, which has been also isolated for the first time from rhizomes and leaf sheaths. Leaf sheath mycobiome was then described for the first time ever.
